Ireland Trip – Day 2

Being back home in Colorado the past couple of weeks, all I felt I saw was white from the cold, snowy winter. It felt so unbelievable to get away to Ireland and to finally see color again. I don’t know if I have ever seen so much green in one place in my entire life until now!
As I sit here daydreaming about the trip, my thoughts are drawn to memories from the 2nd day. On this day, I was able to venture to the countryside to see Ireland’s true beauty after a day well spent in Dublin. The trip to the countryside was in of itself quite the journey. They drive on the opposite side of the road than I am normally used to and I was not ready for that. Let me tell you… it was an incredibly nerve-wracking and terrifying experience. I kept drifting over into the other lane because it felt more natural! Luckily I survived this harrowing journey, which brought me all the way to the Western side of Ireland, into the infamous County Galway.
Wow. Just wow. This was truly unlike anywhere I have ever been. It was incredible. I could hardly contain my excitement as I did my Irish jig! The gale force winds worked tirelessly to blow me away, but they weren’t able to diminish the time I had running around all of the fields exploring the green country!
After a long day of adventure, it was time to pack it in and call it a night. Unbeknownst to me, the hotel I was staying at was a 15-room Manor House. It was huge! The best part? I was the only guest in the house for the entire night! I had this whole Manor to myself, which definitely made me feel like Irish royalty. It was nice to be King for the night!
Can you guess the one factor that would’ve made this adventure an unbeatable experience? If Simon was by my side enjoying it all too!
