Thanksgiving Pecan Chocolate Pie
For all you sweet tooths out there, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this one!

Thanksgiving this year was a great celebration spent with good company, delicious food, and unforgettable views. It started out with a pre-Thanksgiving meal on a beautiful sunny day in Boulder, Colorado in my backyard.
Thanks to Chocolove, I made a killer Pecan Pie with chocolate chip cookie bar as the bottom layer with some of the best chocolate around. This recipe is one of my favorites!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 8 ounce butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- -3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 12 ounce Chocolove’s Pecan and Peach bar
- 1/2 cup pecans

We headed out to Utah the evening before where we spent the duration of our Thanksgiving festivities. Thanksgiving day brought epic views and an amazing sunrise that Simon and I got to experience with friends in the morning.
We camped in Utah’s desert where we enjoyed a full-blown backcountry style Thanksgiving meal, complete with a deep fried turkey and all the fixings.
Utah’s landscapes are breathtaking with unique rock formations everywhere you look. It was a weekend well spent welcoming the holiday season in with some incredible people and places!
